While applying to medical school, I found the application process just as difficult as the pre-requisites themselves. Though there are timelines of the process online, the schedules often leave out the less time-sensitive but equally important components such as taking an MCAT class, asking for letters of recommendation, and tackling your personal statement.
There are many routes to medical school, but I have outlined a generic timeline that you can follow if you find yourself overwhelmed by calculating all the steps to acceptance. You may use this timeline by inputting the year you wish to matriculate in for “20XX”. This timeline is a suggestion, and you must customize it to fit your schedule. You are a unique applicant that has a diverse background – use it!
